I've thought a long time about what you said about your feeling of guilt and here is my conclusion:

When a partner supports and trys to help, it is because there is something nurturing in your relationship. It's because she isn't using a scale to define if you're worth it or not. That thought doesn't even enter her head. You must be giving back more than what the clusters are taking. If the rest of your relationship is what is needs to be, you don't have a reason to feel guilty. So stop feeling guilty. Just be sure she knows that you appreciate her caring.

Life is full of hard knocks, but we wouldn't pitch our loved ones out just because they have something wrong with them, anymore than you would that prescious child of yours.
