Hi,
I am a 38 yr old female, married and mother to one child.I have be under treatment for chronic headaches and migraines for several years.
I have been but on a ton of medications rangeing from betablockers, antidepressents, antiseizure meds, accupunture, epidural injections in my neck.
All Tests from CT's to MRI's to X-rays are all normal. I was orignally told that I was addicted to the caffine in Exerdin. That I was experiencing rebound headaches. I totally went off of all caffine and caffine containing products and still get daily headaches and my migraine attacks have increased.
I do have allergies to animals but I am totally undercontrol with shots and Allerex. None of these treatments have worked.
Zomig has helped but is expensive and NY insurance companys won't pay for them. My Neuro. doctor doesn't like me to take it for my chronic headaches on a daily basis. Even though he has told me that Zomig is non- addictive,non-habit forming and does not cause rebound headaches.
Presently,he does give me samples because I work in the health field. But, I feel very uncomfortable receiving samples.
My goal is to not take any medication. I hate taking all these medications. They make me feel like a drug addicted. I just want to lead a normal life. I am extremely outgoing. I love to keep busy by working and helping patients and of coarse be with my family.
I would like to know who I can contact for further help. Possibly go into a study for people with chronic headaches.
I can by reached by email @ tjstab1@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
JT
