I'm chronic, but as has been observed before, even chronics have cycles. The change of seasons is here with the change in light patterns, or whatever it is, and these f***ing clusters are driving me up a wall again. 4 - 6 of them every night and a couple in the morning many days, as if the nighttime attacks weren't enough to rip me a new one. A few surprise ones in the middle of the afternoon just to round things out. The meds just don't work at times like this. I can take all the preventatives that usually work, and take Maxalt, Imatrex, Caffergot, you name it, and the effects are sooooo temporary. I might just as well wear the damn oxygen tank around like a scuba diver. I really hate it when I am on the freeway, just enough time to make an appointment, 28 miles from the next exit with traffic going 75 miles per hour, and here comes the effing demon pounding on my temple - "hey, you; think you can make that exit before I rip your eye out?" Of course not. Damn I hate this time of year. Yet I love it. I always have. This too shall pass.
