I also thought this was related to hormones, then I found out it was mainly a male type headache. I am almost 51, take hormones, and I still get cluster headaches. They were very bad, every day, sometimes 6 to 7 a day, day and night. I was 43 when they started. I went for a year without any and then they returned. I even stopped taken hormones, discussed this with my GYN and was advised not to stop HRT. So I went back on. My clusters started in August of 97 lasted two months and came back in March and I am still getting them now. The middle of May was awful, but now they seem to be getting less.
