Can't help with the pain, BUT on the disability - CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN - talk to his/her assistant and KEEP calling until they do something. Send him/her copies of everything you send to SS.
My husband had a stroke two years ago. For some reason I got hold of my congressman before I even got the papers filled out and he had a copy of them same time SS did. He received his first check 6 months after his stroke (the day the first check was due) with NO turn down or appeal or lawyer.
Your Congressman is there to HELP YOU. LET HIM/her do something to HELP. I'd lot rather them do something for you rather than examining BC's love life!!! Try it - and if you need help yell. One of my favorite things is "fighting city hall". Let me know if I can do something.
