I am taking a nutrition class and am learning all about the different types of diets. I was on the atkins diet for a while and am soo glad I am off of it! Read up on Dr. Atkins's references. I was told they are very unreliable. Also, people died when the first atkins diet book came out on the shelves because he was saying to cut out all the carbohydrates, and that is horrible for your body because it goes in to ketosis (which is actually REALLY bad for your body).
