I have known for the past 20 years that my brother
suffers from cluster headaches and this was confirmed by a neurologist diagnosis when he lived in NY. He moved to Fl 4 years ago and it was not until I went to visit him 2&1/2 yrs ago (he was in the middle of a bout with this Devil) that I realized the extent of his suffering. He
has always said for him-he skips a year (Thank God) and it either comes in the spring or fall. At that time, he had no $$ or health ins. I insisted he go to a clinic immediately-the Dr never heard of cluster headaches and was very reluctent to fill medications he had gotton up North. He did however do so and told him never to come back-he would not do it again. The trasformation I saw in my brother overnight was amazing. He was given (I don't know the names)a
pain killer, steroids, and a medicine for allergies. Can this be considered an allergy?
Called him to say Hi the other night-guess what-they're back. I paid for his Dr and medication last time with the promise that the next time he
suffers he would have set aside funds to seek medical intervention. Ofcourse he could not go to the Dr he did 2 years ago-a neurologist wants
$200 before he walks in the door-his son's pediatrician saw him-he also never heard of cluster headaches (How could this be), but was compastionate-checked his medical books and renewed his perscriptions. Its interesting-the
last time we paid close to $250 for the three perscriptions and this time it was $65. I decided to check the internet for information and
was happy to see so much on your site.
My brother does not have a computer and I am printing a lot of information for him. I actually cried reading some of those sufferers stories-knowing all too well how true it is.
I guess I am not really saying anything you all don't know-just that I could relate by seeing my
loved one suffer and its nice to know that there is support out there that I could pass on to him.I also wanted to say that the medicine he takes works immediately for him-it does not seem
from some of what I read that this is the case with all. God bless you all
