I've been a sufferer for about 7 years now and had everything from the short(30-40 minute) to the endless (6+ Hours). I think I must be chronic because my clusters last usually 10-14weeks. Remission can be as short as 2 weeks, or as long as 3 months. My doctor has tried prednisone, oxygen, imitrex, and methylsergide (sansert). The only one that seems to do any good is the Sansert (usually, but not always). Anyway, to the point. About 2-21/2 weeks ago, I experienced something new. I got the droopy eye (horton's syndrome) and the total sinus blockage (only on my left), but NO PAIN! I'm currently in a cluster and have gotten my share of headaches, but I have had 7 or 8 of these PAINLESS episodes in the past two weeks. Has anyone else out there experienced this? I asked my doctor and all he said was that anything without pain was an improvement.(He has a magnificent grasp of the obvious)Anyway, I'm hoping that this is some sort of a positive sign, and that maybe my seemingly endless nightmare is coming to an end- FOR GOOD! I know I'm really reaching, but I'm hoping someone else out there has had these painless experiences and can shed some light.
