I've got a little bell hanging under my Harley. It's intended to scare away "Road Demons". Maybe we should wear one around our neck to scare away "The Demon".
My youner daughter's first near death (shes had 3) experience was with a black bear. She was 5 or 6 years old and we were back packing in the Sequoia National Park. She asked what to do if we saw a bear out there in the back counrty. I told her to stick her head in her sleeping bag and stay still and the bear will go away. 5 minutes after turning in I saw her head duck into her bag. I looked up and there was a mama bear about 2 feet away, sniffing her. I was about to scare the bear off when she just walked away followed shortly after by a cub. (the other 2 experiences were setting her bed on fire and falling off the raft in the Kern River).
