is the Canadian equivalent to dramamine. The motion sickness drug. It causes sleep as a side effect but doesn't let you get into the REM phase which is where the beast will attack you. Other folks have had luck with benedryl which also causes sleep as a side effect. I've seen both work for my husband when he has reached a point that he is desperate for a few consecutive hours of sleep.
We can get it generically (read: cheaper) here, so I'm sure you can in the States too.
Try two before bed and see if it helps?
