is the best time for me to try to abort. Prednisone gets a bad rap here and rightfully so. This year the preds did not work for me and I stayed on them too long which caused me some problems .. mainly mood swings from mad to more mad but over the past several years a short pred burst has stopped the beast in it's track for me. If I tried to abort after the beast has settled in and got comfy ... than the preds were less likely to abort. Make sure you educate yourself on the potential side effects of prednisone but you asked what has worked for others and that has for me. This year the o2 / imitrex seemed to work best. Next spring it will probably be standing on my head with a bannana in my ear ... you just never know for sure.
