Brenda - I agree with you completely - it depends on what the sufferer wants. My husband also likes me to be close by - usually to squeeze my hand while he fights the headache. We have 4 sons and they are all there to help their Dad if I am not around. The older ones have been there to drive him to the ER a couple of times. It builds compassion and understanding in them I am sure. Please keep it up.
