Franco Granella, who presented this study at the 9th International Headache Research Seminar held in Copenhagen last year, is from the Institute of Neurology, University of Parma, I-43100 Parma, Italy.
The other headache clinics that participated are in Bari, Bologna, Milan, Naples, Pavia, Rome(2) and Vicenza.
This was just one of approximately 44 papers and studies that were presented at the IHRS and are contained in the book "Cluster Headache and Related Conditions", edited by J. Olesen and P. Goadsby.
There is more research being done into CH and other non-migraine primary headaches than many of us believe. It would seem the problem is more one of lack of information in the general media and not so much that no-one is researching this disorder.
