Hi, and sorry you have to join us.
Tow quick thoughts, to explain reactions you may get - and as several have said, whatever you call it, if you have ch it's bloody painful!
I am a great believer in being precise - as are a lot of others here. The International Headache Society has very strict definitions of what ch is. As a result it is bizarre that a supposedly educated doctor gives a condition a name which doesn't exist in medical fact.
People do have clusters and migraines, but they are different. We are our own worst enemies if, while trying to get cluster headache a higher profilein every way, we allow people to think of us as migraine sufferers. We must keep it very clear that they are different, or no-one will work with us to achieve our goal of a treatment/cure etc.
As to the number of Imigran you can take - I cannot believe the way insurance companies **** you around in the States. It might be worth asking for their evidence of why they cna't give you the two a day that every single box of the stuff says is safe! I've been on the things for years now, and unless you have a pre-existing contr-indicated condition they are simply playing the numbers game, not a medical one. After all, if safety were an issue, how come you are allowed to have them provided you buy them yourself??
Good luck, and keep in touch.
