I wish I had a dollar for every doctor that told me women don't get CH. I've seen alot of women on this board. It's like the doctors who were saying ten years ago that men don't get breast cancer...and as we now know, thats a lie.
I've had them since I was 25. I can't take Imitrex or Zomig because it throws my heart into arrythmia. I have taken Sansert and Prednisone, along with the usual cocktail of painkillers. Now I use only ice, heat, hot showers and vigorous hair brushing. This last episode in September, I splurged and had a professional massage twice and it bought me a great deal of relief. It's expensive but I justified it by the fact that I don't take meds.
I just got tired of being a lab rat and recovering from meds that only worked sometimes anyway. You are lucky Imitrex works for you. Good luck and I hope the remission lasts.
