To begin with, I believe all of us clusterheads are in the worse pain the doctor has seen in his/her medical career. That's one of the problems. Most doctors never see us have a level 10 attack.
I was lucky enough to have a level 8 attack in front of two Drs. They also stated it was the worse pain they had seen. If they only knew! As far as the meds go, I agree with Kathi. That's quite a
mixture you've got there. Sounds like a script for 2-3 cluster patients. Be real careful!
I was on high dosage of inderal when first dianosed. Years later a new Neuro changed me to Verapamil. Within days I could tell the difference. I felt so much better. The CH was about the same, but
overall I felt like a new person. I'm sure it was the Inderal. Has this Dr. dealt with many cluster headache cases?
I would at leasat get a second opinion from another experienced Neuro. Sometimes less Meds. but the right combination will help you more and have less bad affects on you and your wallet.
