Mo-in-law sent recent clipping from Sunday Supplement to Ann Arbor papaer (Ann Arbor is home of Un of MICH and location of apparently pretty good headache clinic, according to other folks on the msg bd)
It's quite lengthy, and ALMOST up to date (still talking about ergatomine inhaler tho)-
addresses severity, most modern treatment attempts, rarity, incidence in women, mentions that in CH women one often also finds migraine but not usually in men,
points out onset is usually in early adulthood, but can vary
unfortunately still has to drag in that "big rugged male that smokes & drinks a lot" business - but it's been demoted to "common" - that's progress
but try telling it to the 10 yr old in my area who has to drag his o2 everywhere he goes
to the extent there is anything to that I am CONVINCED it is just a frequent coincidental commonality - mostly for ethnic and area of origin reasons - but has NOTHING directly to do w/CH
