I had the same experience. Pred kicked the beast out completely, but when i went off the pred it's like he was paying me back for the pain free days by doubling the intensity. I settled on lithium, oxygen and cafergot as they provide relief the majority of the time, and the side affects aren't as severe as prednisone. And yes I will be your virtual friend!!!! JoeS
