I'd recommend going back on the verapamil. Chances are it hasn't had time to build up to theraputic levels yet; give couple of weeks. Also, verapamil is a drug you don't want to quit "cold turkey"... it can have bad heart effects. Consult your doctor if you need to quit taking it. My guess is the CH attacks were coincidence and you need to give it another week.
