I am enjoying the pain free time. Last year at
this time I was in agony. For those of you who
don't know me, I have CPH (Chronic Paroxysmal Hemacrania.) I was unable to tolerate the indomethacin that is supposed to be effective therapy for CPH but then someone with CPH posted just once about Celebrex. I got in contact with this person and after he told me about the good
results he had with Celebrex I insisted my neuro
at least let me try it. She was reluctant since she said she had never prescribed Celebrex for ANY
type of headaches. But I made it clear to her that
I would not be back as her patient if she wouldn't at least let me try it. That and practically having a nervous break down in her office convinced her :) There is a syndrome that can devolpe from CPH called Hemacrania Continua which is what my nero and myself felt I had also.
It speaks for itself-one continuous headache. So if anyone out there is having many many headaches a day and feels as though the pain level isn't as
high on the Kip Scale as what they are reading by
people on the board, you can save yourself years of agony and being misdiagnosed by reading about
CPH in the Headache Links to the left. Thanks to
Bob P.posting about CPH one day, I found out that
was what I had after 10 years of being undiagnosed
and 10 years of being misdiagnosed and being on
dozens of differant meds that just don't work for
CPH. So thats it in a nutshell! And Sailpappy, I could NEVER forget YOU!
