I asked a similar question of my neuro recently. He said that the newest research pointed to a nerve spasm more than a vascular HA like migraines. He said that we CH suffers are less likely to have a stroke than migraine suffers. The pressure felt durring a CH is a result of the sinuses filling as a reaction to the facial nerves being agitated. Of course this is just the most recent theory and it could be way off base.
Back to your original question... I too have noticed a problem with short term memory while in a session of CH. The less pain meds I take the better I can function at work.
