Addicted to Prednizone??

I've had a terrible time these past few months. In the past, a short course of Prednizone would stop the cycle and I'd be pain free for a few months/years. However, since July I've been taking prednizone nearly every day. I start out at 70-80mg and taper down. When I hit 20-30mg the CH attack returns. So, my Dr. puts me back on prednizone and I feel fine. I taper down and the attack returns. For 3 months this has been the pattern. I'm scared to death of the drug I'm taking. Should I be? How dangerous is this stuff?
