I used to get gout attacks a few times a year. Damned if I know why since I've always heard it referred to as the rich man's disease. Indocin worked well with no apparent side effects, but it took 2 or 3 days.
Colchisin(e) works a lot faster. I take 1 an hour. Stay near the john after the first 3 or 4 doses.
If gout is the problem, ask your Doc about Zyloprim. I take 1 a day and very rarely have any more attacks.
