This year I took didn't wait for my episode to start, I took the shrooms just prior to when I thought it would come.
Three weeks ago my left temple started to feel a little tender. Say Kip 1, nothing to write in about. I wasn't even sure it was cluster related. Last week, on Monday and Tuesday this progressed to a Kip 4 attack at about 5am, lasting 30mins. This only happened those 2 days. It was only just annoying enough to interfere with my dream, and wake me up. Since then nothing, not even shadows. I guess that was my episode.
This is fairly normal for prevention with shrooms. In 1995/1996/1997 I also experienced minor attacks, at around the time my episode was due. However the never proceeded beyond the odd infrequent Kip 4 in the morning. I would class it as a true episode, more like one wanting to happen.
The interesting thing is why the episode still wants to happen, even though it cannot muster it's forces, no doubt due to the shrooms. ???.
The years I've waited for my episode to get under way prior to taking the shrooms, and have at worst had shadows or perhaps a kip 4, for maybe 48 hours before the episode cleared up altogether. I didn't think much of it, but it is interesting in light of what Q has been reporting.
