So I went to my doctor the other day, since I ran out of Fioricet, and I needed a refill, and he refered me to a neuro. (Not suprising) But he wants the neuro. to put me on Prednisone. I have read a bunch of the past posts about it, and looked it up on some health sites, and my concern is, I am episodic, and I actually have them under enough control that I can still live my life. Obviously, all of my friends and my employer know that when I say I need to go lay down, I mean it!
But I really feel like I am winning the fight at this point. So the issue is, Prednisone seems like some evil stuff! Particularly if it doesn't work, I have to wean myself from it. Not nice.
Is this overkill? I am open to just about anything to get rid of them, but there are so many holistic things that we haven't tried yet, is it common to go for this kind of overkill?
Thanks,
Jen
