I agree that Depakote isn't the greatest thing to be on, but on the other hand I'm really grateful for medications that are available. I was diagnosed last year, my third year in college. I had a manic episode that lasted about a week, I couldn't sleep, but had so much energy I wore everyone out, I started to lose my memory and started actually hallucenating, luckily I have really great parents who helped me through it. I don't feel like I'm back to normal, but I'm back at school and doing much better, its nice to know there are others out there who understand what its like. Hang in there and God Bless.
