Self pity IS what losers do. I don't think self pity drove me to the cross of Christ though. It was more the realization that I could not no matter how hard I tried "do life" under my own power. I am weak. It was after I realized that I couldn't do life under my own power, I found that I could do life and do it well with God's power. Realizing that it took His strength to live up to His standard didn't have anything to do with self pity. So I asked Him. I asked Him to guide me. And He is. He gave me His Holy Spirit as One to guide me. When He did that I was born anew with His Spirit. Is that so hard a concept for one as wise as you?:^) I found out what to do with all that guilt I was carrying. I gave it to Him. Pity parties are something I have when I lose sight of Him and start trying to do it by myself again.
I'm glad that you are a strong guiltless self sufficient man who doesn't need God. More power to you.:^)
