Go back and check the posts from Dec and Jan. There are a lot of "treatments" there that have worked for a lot of clusterheads. Some of us are still trying to find "our thing."
I think you have the right idea about "educating" your dr. There is so much "hogwash" out there and everybody and his uncle knows "how you feel" because they had a "bad" headache one time. This is the only place where I've found ANYBODY that HURT as bad as I do. Most drs. can't even imagine the pain we go through, and after a while just think we're a little flaky.
We've discussed HOW to educate the public as to our problem. We're NOT having a migraine, it's NOT tension, but nobody even knows what a Cluster is.
Read everything posted, take notes, then go to your doctor prepared for "battle". I guess their liability has become so great that they are AFRAID to treat us with anything over the "recommended" dosage, when sometimes we really do need more. There are a lot of meds out there that are helping a lot of clusterheads. But most of us have to go through a lot of them before we find the "right" one.
