I don't think there is a rhyme or reason - at least not any we've found so far. Maybe it is histamines - that's about all we have in common. Everyone on this board has different triggers and a lot are like me and don't have a clue what the trigger is.
Personally, I think it's about time there was a LOT of research done on them. I've been suffering for years, but thought I was just an oddity until I found this board. Now I don't feel near as crazy. This has done my family a lot of good also. They know OTHER PEOPLE act like I do. They just couldn't figure out WHY I couldn't stop them.
But if we ever find out what stops them ... WHEN we find out what stops them, then we'll all be pain free. That's what we're all waiting for.
