Predisone is pretty good about giving you some time
off.... but for me, they'd come back when the doses got
lower... but they do shorten the duration some. I only seem
to get out of pain with my Oxygen tank. I kinda don't think
hypno would work cause it's kinda like having your arm cut off and
bleeding.... it's really happening and not our imaginatin.
However, i do think it could help you cope with the pain... kinda
like going into a trance while the attacks are underway. The only
bad part of just using oxygen is that i'm housebound. I get attacks
every four hours ... four attacks today. I'm just starting the cycle
and will probably ask my doc for my steriods in a few weeks.
Also, right before bed, i stick some heat patches on. They helped
last night, but now i got a rash on my head from constantly putting
new ones on. But, i'll do it again tonight. Anything to keep from
an attack.
