Prednisone. As I said to someone....Made in heaven, manufactured in hell. High doses really do stop the headaches though it is really best to limit it's use to several weeks. I think a lot of Doc's prescribe it with the thought that by the time your off of it another drug will have kicked in. Verapamil, Sansert or some other preventative. For me the benefits outweighs the risks and or side effects. Very bitter after taste.
