Here's my cocktail:
-Topamax: 60mg a day
-Toradol: 10mg every 4 hours (while awake, of course :)
-Esgic Plus (Butal, Tylenol, Caffine): 1 tab for a shadow, 2 for a "creeper" (the rare kind that comes on with a warning) kinda dulls the pain and helps the imitrex do it's thing.
-Imitrex injection 6mg: don't knock it...may not work for everyone...doesn't work all the time for me...but...it's still the best damn thing you can use at home.
"Extra's":
-Amerge: Still haven't seen any real use during the acute attacks (2am'ers)...but then again...no oral works when you get woken up in the middle of the night...does it?
-That other triptan in the red box that my neuro gave me....does the same thing as Amerge....oh well.
On another note:
I'm trying some other stuff my Chiro/Herbologist (hey....you'll try anything....and I know you all have) gave me...it's called: Acetylcholine. I've done some research...but apparently not enough...if anyone has info...good or bad...let me know....THANX!
