I've got four boys .... 18, 17, 13, 9. I could relate your reference to the Exorcist. These kids can be the greatest pleasure or pain. I can also relate to feeling guilty about my parenting. One day I am patient and wise (at least I think so) the next .. I am not patient .. not wise and feeling like a loser of a parent. Guilt is ok but ... not for too long. I've met too many parents who lost that ability to feel guilty.
Everyday is a fresh start and I have needed a bunch of fresh starts in my life. Sounds like you both are dealing with plenty right now. Enjoy the good days and hang in there on the bad. It is obvious that you care!
