Jen,
I am not taking Neurontin....but it sounds alot like what I am taking....(Lorcet/Hydrocodone).
It makes me feel alot like what you feel like. It's not easy to function at work or drive home.
I have, however, found it easier to keep going at work if I cut down to half a dose....the pain is still there....but atleast it's somewhat tollerable.
