Disregarding physical causes, searching for a cause within yourself, amounts to blaming yourself for a condition and that is certainly creating STRESS! iN that case I would call it STRESS. It is certainly extreme stress for someone suffering from an advanced spinal deterioration, repeatedly being told nothings wrong, it's all in the mind, etc. while feeling the body deteriorating, limbs going lame. Not going berserk under that kind of STRESS, is in my opinion, proof enough of being able to handle STRESS. The mīnute I was diagnosed finally, and correctly, and a cure was possible by surgery, I felt great relief - at least that STRESS WAS OVER.
Headaches the same, before and after surgery. During the years of misdiagnosis there was constant pressure on my spinal cord, also on the artery within the cord supplying the brain with blood. Do you think any amount of stress-control would have removed this pressure, which was purely mechanical ??? The spinal cord does not recover completely, even after surgery, neither the peripheral nerves, and what about the artery??? With proper diagnosis and timely surgery, I might have had a better chance curing the spinal cord and the headaches. Any attitude of "it's all mental" delayed the right diagnosis and the cure.
CH patients all over different countries have similar symptoms, yet, depending on culture, doctor's attitudes differ: US: STRESS related,
Germany: psychosomatic, even certain physical characteristics, maybe colorblind, FRANCE: compulsive (obsessed by orderliness) - this opinion dating from 17th century and completely unfounded.
So how do you combine all this?? Stress, psycho-somatic, colorblind, obsessed by order - the perfect way for doctors to rid themselves of unpopular chronic pain patients. You are free to blame yourself if it helps you, but dont accuse others of DENIAL if they dont follow your opinion!!!
