"What causes this chemical or structural abnormality
to start it's series of siezures is still up for
grabs. I don't know."
Me neither. However, I venture to say that it could
be:
Partly genetic, as in a gene-specific aberration
resulting in a poor or mistaken protein transcription
by mRNA. Subsquently, excesive quantities of
5-HT is produced, or not enough 5-HT receptor/enzyme
regulator is produced.
Partly phenotypical, as in the influence of the environment
on the responses of our bodies. External input
that is being either misinterpreted by our autoregulating
response mechanisms, i.e.: weather fronts, mold,
mental and dietary stress, etc.
Partly slef-inflicted/perpetrated, as in our mental
condition, well being and responses to the mentally
stimulating environ.
