I used acupuncture and it worked for me - after the first 'needling' felt my headache disperse. after third needling, gone. Now I don't know if it was entirely due to having more needles than a porcupine,or whether it was time for my attack to downgrade, but I felt a whole lot better. Also, a friend who is a reflexologist told me to grip (with forefinger and thumb - pincer like) the area between forefinger and thumb on other hand, on the fleshy bit. Pinch it really hard.......worked for me as well - didn't totally chase the headache, but certainly diminished it. Good luck.........and hang on in there. Also, what you are experiencing is called the 'anticipatory phase' of pain - sometimes worse than the pain itself - I know how terrified I get of getting the pain - so know how you are feeling. Can't offer much help, just know I'm thinking of you. maggie
