Wish I could give you a solution. After 30 years I've become kind of accepting of these things. I do make preparations for the 1 1/2 hours after I fall asleep attack. A couple of cafergot pills and my lidocaine spray are set on the nightstand for quick access when the bastard wakes me up. Downstairs, the tissues are set next to my chair along with a glass of water and the rest of my cafergot. A towel is laid out on the counter next to the refrigerator so I can wrap my ice pack in it. I also set my watch on the table facing the chair. I know the nightstand cafergot should kick in within 15 minutes. If it hasn't, it's gonna be a bad one and time to take more cafergot.
I still dread going to bed, knowing what's coming. But I'm just not gonna let them stop me from tyring.
The key is to make sure that you've found the treatment that works the best for you. That takes away some of the fear. Sometimes I win, sometimes it wins. That's the nature of the beast.
This last cluster it won once. The other 60 some times I put up a good fight and if I didn't win outright it was at least a draw (scale 4-6).
Good luck. Peace brother.
