I was in patient at Diamond about 3 1/2 years ago. They usually try histamine desensitation with IVs then maybe a DHE IV. I had both. They give you a barage of the most commonly used meds. I had a little bit of a break there but little success. When I got an attack they gave me O2, liocaine in my nose but with little help. They then would give me an injection of Doliphen (methadone) which would help a lot. after I left they told me I could use methadone anymore because they didn't want to perscribe any opiate type meds. (to avoid addiction). They may have different techniques now. None of the chronics there seemed to get a lot of help. However some of the episodic CHers seemed to get some good results. I have heard better results from Dr. Robbins clinic.
