In all my years of obsessively researching preventatives for this horrible disease, I have yet to come across anything that even remotely approaches the efficacy of a SINGLE sub-hallucinogenic dose of one of the indole-based psychotomimetic substances such as lysergic acid diethylamide or psilocybin.
Even the "gold standard" of preventatives, Verapamil, has (depending on which source you consult) a success rate of only sixty to seventy per cent.
Although the numerous posts to this message board reporting success with this treatment are anecdotal, until Dr. Russo's research project gets under way, they are all we have.
I won't wait for those results, is all I'm saying.
