About the needles, but you have to ask yourself which is worse, a 5 second jab in the arm, or an hour of rooling around with a cluster.
Imitrex did not work for me either, but neither did Zomig early on. It is working for me now. I cannot explain it. Some medicines work differently on different people. You need to find a good prophylaxis so you won't need an abortive such as Imitrex or something like Ercaf tablets.
Prevention is better than treatment - and I know how hard these suckers are to prevent. You may want to research new meds, and possibly try some of the much praised things like Topamax, Verapamil, Lithium, and Amerge.
Hope it is a short cycle.
