I'm up with high temperature. The kind where you start hallucinating and think your cat is talking to you. I woke up in pain and rocked my way through it. Fell back asleep and dreamt of the next round. Waking up to it tearing out the nerves behind my eye, drilling through the nerves from nose to teeth. Passing out from pain, just to wake and have it start again. After a 3 hour break i'm breathing quietly hoping i'm not heard in case it comes again. A poem or song or something started formulating in my thoughts. I'm sure I'll come back and shake my head at why I shared it.
Waking dreams
Times like these
I hide awake
and wish I was but a dream.
I close my eyes
and vaporize within this pain.
With life it drains.
Don't bring me back again.
Let me dream
of this I dream.
Wished on a black star,
stared at a blood moon.
Listened to a fallen sky
shatter against a waking lie
it will end..
it never ends.
