I was on Amitriptyline for a short period of time when I had an allergic reaction. I noticed a lot of the similar symptoms that you were talking about. And because of these bad reactions to the drug (hives all over my body, and everything you described) Guess what my doctor put me on....Noratriptyline. But my doctor/neurologist said the opposite, that I might have weight gain with Nora. more than Ami. I'm a little scared after reading your post, now. He told me about all of the symptoms I'd experience, like you said. But I hope I don't notice much of it. I was just prescribed the drug a couple days ago and haven't started taking it. Are you taking these for Migraines, tension headaches?
