Yes they are connected. Depression is a result of serotonin imbalance. CH is the same. Both controlled by the hypothalamus.
I know a guy who HAD chronic clusters. Tried everything. Took so much cafergot his toes turned black from lack of circulation. The doc finally put him on Elavil (amitriptyline) a tri-ciclic antidepressant. Stopped the headaches and hasn't had one in 5 years. Nice side effect, it also treats the depression.
So no, you are not nuts or strange. It is a physical condition. Not your fault, not anyones fault. Just something to be dealt with. We just have to find the right tool to deal with it.
Paranoid dilusional is a tough one. Can't really treat it with meds. Psychotherapy is the best route.
I'm a recovering alcoholic. I'll always be an alcoholic trying to recover but I can never say I'm cured. Each day is a new victory and I thank the Lord for helping me. But it's something I'll alwys live with.
Do your best, that's all one can ask. Be proud that you are brave enough, self assured enough to put down that mask. I admire you for your post.
