Well Carl, I can't say I'm happy you've been poked full of holes and shot full of drugs, but I'm damned glad you're not suffering, no.1, and I respect your upbeat optimism, no.2., something I admittedly have to practice exercising more of when it comes to finding treatment.Lord knows I've had the worst luck picking MD's, and above all else, I just don't have the patience to go the distance ( you must know what I mean by that ). Usually I wind up the doctor and the doctor the 'lay CH patient'. But what you say about finding the right doctor is right on the money. I've come to realise that when it comes to CH, you have to employ about as much practical effort in your search as you would if you were looking for an defense attorney- Obviously, if anyone were wrongly charged with murder, they wouldn't want a defense that had no experience in dealing with that type of case, and one certainly doesn't want to be treated by a doctor who merely has 'textbook' familiarity with thier condition.
CH, as with any serious disease, involves a person on all levels, physical, social and emotional. Working meds are fine, but then there's the follow-up re-coupment from lost finances, depression, and learning how to live again without pain, or the fear of it. With that in mind, any doctor should be questioned thoroughly about thier experience in dealing with this disease before aggreeing to but treated by them.

Good luck!
Geo.
