My doctor gave me Maxalt to try for my current cycle. I took the 10 mg disolving tablet along with percocet (the only pain reliever that seems to at least somewhat diminish the pain). I'd say in 40 to 50 percent of the time the headaches seemed to dissipate within about 15 minutes (mine usually go for 2 hours or more). The rest of the time it didn't seem to have much of an effect. For me, though, that was great - 40 to 50% is a lot better than nothing.
