I have been diagnosed with chronic clusters and sever migraines. I sometimes will have a migraine type headache last for weeks on end with 4-6 clusters a day. Before my currents meds which have helped me greatly. At the Diamond headache clinic in Chicago they said that if I only worked on getting rid of the clusters that the migraines would mess it up and that they could at most help me by 50%. Well I have been helped significantly more than this using fairly high doses of methadone 50 -60 mg 4 times a day with actiq for breakthrough. I just upped my meds and have gone a couple days now with no headaches or side effects whatso ever. The problem is finding apain Dr. usually an Anethesiologist to prescribe this. I am not saying it will or is your best recourse for you. I t has for me however brought from completly disabled as far as work goes (5 years ) to working 30 -40 hrs per week. Please have it checked by a Neurologist first as my Dr. would not consider other treatments until I had tried the majority of more normal methods. GOOD Luck MIKE L
