I went through the Prozac for about six months and couldn't tell any difference. It works on some and others it just doesn't. No rhyme or reason.
About living with a Clusterhead. Sounds like you're on the right track. At least you're asking what to do.So for what it's worth, here's my 2cents from the "other" side of the Cluster:
Don't ask, "What can I do?" There is very little you CAN do and it hurts to talk.
Don't ask Chead to make any decisions about treatment. Not a good time for thinking. IT hurts.
Know where medicine is in case it's not handy. Know how to change an O2 bottle in a hurry. It's awful to run out in the middle of an attack and not be able to see the darn thing to change it.
Don't fuss at the Chead about seeing a doctor. We HAVE seen drs. and probably know how to treat ourselves better than a doc.
Sorry, that's just a few things that bug me when I'm having an attack. My family thinks if "I" call the doctor he can wave a magic wand and make me all better. "I" couldn't even talk to the dr at that time. And just be patient. The HA will pass and then we "rest" if we can and wait till the next one.
Wish I could be more optimistic, but ....
Hugs to you and your hubby BD
