Ever try Alka-Seltzer Plus (for colds)?

Besides my normal couple of Alleves and Tylenol 3s, I have found that if I wash them down w/ an Alka-Seltzer Plus cocktail, my CHs go away a heck of alot quicker. Has anyone else had the same or similar results? Or, does anyone have any other suggestions for quick relief?
