Jackie - can't believe I just answered this and then wiped it out. Let me see if I can remember what the heck I was thinking.

You might be on to something. I agree about national orgin not having anything to do with it. (I was in Australia about 2 years ago and I hurt just as bad there as in the states!) - that was a joke.

What about CULTURE? (as opposed to nat. origin) Think about it. My grandmother delivered 15-16 pound babies at home with no drugs and it didn't put her down. I can't imagine doing that, although I did deliver my son without any drugs (not by choice, but the gas bottle was empty at the time - small hosp. long time ago).

Men are taught in "most" cultures that they must be strong and not sissies. So we see a lot of men thinking it's not "manly" to yell when they hurt or cry or anything "girlish". I think this is bull and am glad to see so many men admitting they NEED help with these damn HAs.

I've pretty well traveled around the world and I don't think nat. origin, but CULTURE is the culprit. But from what we're seeing on this board, these CHs are going across nat. origin or cultures or whatever. WE WANT HELP!

Maybe we need to get into this with our research. You got me thinking, but I had a bad night and am probably not making a lot of sense right now.

Hugs. BD
